Wedding good wishes from the Grand Admiral to Kyle and Maddie

We have reviewed a couple of books on this site by American fantasy author Michael Dalton.

Two of the characters from one of his popular series, of "unconventional romance" novels, Ethan Hill's daughter Maddie and her fiance Kyle, are due to get married at the Edgewater luxury Hotel and resort in Southern Lake Tahoe, which seems remarkably like this venue, tomorrow (13th June 2026.)

The Grand Admiral has asked us to convey his good wishes to Kyle and Maddie for their wedding tomorrow.

Currently his flagship ISD Chimaera and the Eye of Sion intergalactic hyperspace ring are in orbit above Dathomir in what you call the Galaxy Far Far Away.

In theory the Eye of Sion might be capable of making the journey to the Milky Way Galaxy for the Grand Admiral to pay his respects in person. Sadly however, due to the tragic death at the hands of Ahsoka Tano of Morgan Elspeth, the brilliant engineer and navigator who constructed the Eye and took her to the Peridia galaxy to rescue the Grand Admiral, we are unable to derive the required co-ordinates.

However, all aboard the Imperial Star Destroyer Chimaera wish the happy couple well.

Which book series do the couple getting married tomorrow appear in?

The "Bikini Days" series. The wedding was booked for tomorrow (13th June 2026) in the fifth book in that series, (Bikini Magic) and the context of the booking makes it clear that it was made in late spring or early summer 2025 which effectively anchors the dates of the first five books of the "Bikini Days" unconventional romance series as taking place between about 2021 and 2025.

Ethan is correct, and the reference to the date of tomorrow's wedding also anchors the dates of quite a few of Michael Dalton's books, and several by his co-authors and collaborators such as Adam Lance, in both the "Daltonverse" and "Fateforged universes."

Dark City Girls 3 includes the climax of the "Second Aether War" which has affected the characters from a whole range of books by Michael Dalton and Adam Lance, many of whom appear in that book fighting under General Zane's command in the final battle which concludes the war.

All three books in the "Dark City Girls" trilogy, all the "Trailer Park Elves" books, the Coastal Curves series take place at about the same time over a few weeks, or at most a few months. Ethan Hill, the father of Maddie Hill who is the bride in tomorrow's wedding, has a cameo in "Dark City Girls 3" during which it is mentioned that he has "a couple of toddlers," Maddie's much younger half-siblings.

These are almost certainly the twins who are conceived by Ethan and Meredith at the end of "Bikini Magic," a couple of weeks after Maddie books her wedding.

So allowing for a pregnancy of approximately nine months and for the babies to grow to be toddlers, that anchors the Dark City Girls trilogy, the "Trailer Park Elves" series, and the "Coastal Curves" series in about 2027. The "King of the Fae Islands" and "Hex Kittens" series would bein not long afterwards, and the "Demon Hunter" and "Shifter Girls" series would start perhaps five years before that, around 2022.

So if you are wondering why the Grand Admiral might take an interest in a wedding in a book set in another galaxy: remember his fascination with art and literature. And this wedding is rather significant for certain genres of men's fiction, as it anchors the dates of more than twenty books.

If you want to know more about who some of these people are, I'm afraid you'll have to read Michael Dalton's books, though we do hope to get around to reviewing a few more of them!
